Getting my custom domain name

nofrills.work is born
I finally took the plunge to purchase a domain name. It cost me about $50 SGD for 5 years. Much lower than I remembered. Getting a domain name to work with a free vercel app is really simple. I was amazed at the ease at setting it up. The only minor scare I had was that SSL certificate wasn’t installed automatically initially. Spent the next 10 min reading up on what to do without and clear next steps. Then to my surprised, SSL installed. All without me doing anything. Kudos to the Vercel team for simplifying the backend development to such a non eventful task.
nofrills.work as the name suggest, is meant to be a place where I talk about how to get work done, without the frills. No bell and whistles. Just getting things done, delievered. So that we can move on to the next interesting project. I intentionally chose the word interesting instead of important. Sometimes, it is more important to work on an interesting project than important one. Interesting fuel us, important and boring drains us.
